Number of exams taken by students

Since 2003, the German Testing Board has been offering courseware for Certified Tester Foundation Level courses. The program was reworked and systematized in 2007, and has since been regularly used by lecturers at 72 different universities and colleges. With this offer, the GTB makes a significant contribution to the teaching of quality assurance concepts and methods at German Universities, Universities of Applied Sciences and vocational colleges.

Year by year, the number of ISTQB® Certified Testers amongst students has continually increased: More than 1,700 students have already realized how important it is, both for the start and as a comprehensive preparation for a professional career, to furnish proof of industry-relevant training and qualifications undertaken during the university studies.

After passing the ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level examination, the students acquire a globally recognized certificate that is proof of their knowledge in the field of software testing and quality assurance.

The German Testing Board is committed to support the students on their way to becoming Certified Testers and has made generous funds for examination fees incurred available.
