In 1985 Jürgen Beniermann got his first computer, since then the subject never left him. What began as a pure hobby became a serious occupation with the topic during his studies at the BUGH Wuppertal and has been his profession for over 25 years now.
He has always remained an all-rounder rather than becoming a specialist in a particular subject. From control with a single-board computer to Monte Carlo simulation on a mainframe computer, from assembler to high-level languages, from simple web software to safety-relevant systems, there are few areas with which he has not yet come into contact.
Already during his time as an active software developer, the subject of testing was more appealing to him than the actual programming activity. Since he moved completely into the field of software testing 15 years ago, one of his main focuses has been training and education of testers. As Managing Consultant of Sogeti Deutschland GmbH, he has been in charge of the training department for 8 years now and during this time has already introduced many more people to testing. His main focus at the GTB is to actively participate in the practical design of the course content.
