For Jan Giesen, good communication is an important prerequisite for successful project implementation. It is crucial that all parties use the same terms for the same things. Therefore, standardization and uniform terms are indispensable in order to detect errors as early as possible. Here, the Certified Tester curriculum plays a central role with a common standard glossary of test terms.
Jan Giesen has a degree in Computer Science from the University of Bremen and a Master of Science in Business Informatics from the distance university in Hagen. He has been working in quality assurance for more than 10 years. He has been responsible for test implementation, test management, and process and test improvement in largely safety-related development projects in aerospace, telecommunications, medical and agricultural engineering, automotive industry, and railway technology. Since September 2018, he has been supporting Euroimmun AG in the field of test management.
The professionalization of quality assurance is a high priority for Jan Giesen and a reason for him to get involved in the GTB.
