Glossary of testing terms in German was released

The German Testing Board (GTB) e.V. released the ISTQB®/GTB Glossary of testing terms in German on 30th April 2009. It is published on the download page of the German Testing Board website (siehe: (http://www.german-testing-board.info/de/downloads.shtm ).

The issue available is the first officially released and published German-language version of the glossary. It is based on Version 2.0 of the English-language ISTQB® Standard Glossary. In addition, the ISTQB®/GTB glossary also includes the first English-German and German- English edition of the glossary of testing terms.

The purpose of the glossary is the standardization of the terminology in the field of testing. It supplements the syllabi of the Certified-Tester program. In the translation of the terms, the GTB placed special emphasis on staying close to the content of the English basis whilst at the same time defining a German-language standard.

Represented in the GTB working party „Glossary“ are members of the GI-TAV as well as German-speaking representatives of other national testing boards from Switzerland, Austria, Norway and Poland. The definition of the terms follows as far as possible the known ISO and IEEE standards. In addition to this, national boards also contribute contents from comparable national standards, the GTB for instance from DIN 66271.

Proposed improvements to this issue of the glossary may be sent to:: glossary@german-testing-board.info
