German Testing Board
The ISTQB ® Certified-Tester course syllabus and examination questions were developed and published in Germany by the German Testing Board e.V. (GTB).
The German Testing Board is a working group of software and system testing specialists. Its members include recognised experts from industry, consultants, trainers, scientists and specialists from other organisations.
The German Testing Board is an independent, neutral commission, which is responsible for the quality of the ISTQB ® Certified-Tester system and the associated examination procedures in Germany. It also supervises the Certified-Tester training courses, monitoring defined criteria and awarding accreditations to the training institutions.
All the members of the Board are unpaid volunteers. The current membership is:

In the German-speaking area, the GTB cooperates closely with the Austrian Testing Board (ATB) and the Swiss Testing Board (STB).Training providers accredited by the ATB or STB in accordance with ISTQB regulations are published on the GTB homepage as "ATB-accredited" or "STB-accredited" in accordance with the agreements for cross-accreditation applicable between the relevant partners.
At an international level, the German Testing Board is a founder member of the umbrella organisation " International Software Testing Qualifications Board ". This group is responsible for the consistency and comparability of the teaching and testing content in all participating countries.
